TPS54310: TPS54310PWPR: Thermal Resistance Information

Hi E2E,

Good day!

I am posting an inquiry on behalf of one of our customers.
He is asking for the Thermal resistance of junction-to-board; junction-to-case along with
the maximum junction temperature for the part# TPS54310PWPR.

    TPS54310 predates the use of published standard thermal parameters,  I did find the simulation results in the thermal model database as follows:

    TPS5431X Thermal Parameters

    Result- Theta JA-High K (standard datasheet value) = 35.4 C/W

    Result-Theta JC, top (standard datasheet value) = 23.7 C/W

    Result-Theta JB (standard datasheet value) = 12.1 C/W

    Result- Psi JT (standard datasheet value) = 0.4 C/W

    Result- Psi JB (standard datasheet value) = 12.0 C/W

    Result-Theta JC, bottom (standard datasheet value) = 3.7 C/W

    The maximum recommended operating junction temperature is 125 C.  That is the maximum specification range in the Electrical Characteristics table.  The absolute maximum junction temperature is 150 C.  Between 125 C and 150 C junction temperature, the TPS54310 will not be damaged but may not meet published specifications.
