UCD9090-Q1: Best way to perform programming in serial production

Hello,

We have converged on our UCD9090-Q1 programming design.

To address the serial production of our boards, we are searching for the best way to program the components without having to use the Fusion Design Online GUI which slows us down.

What is the best way you suggest to achieve that ? Something that could be called through a .bat script would be awesome by the way.

Currently we are performing a Clear configuration from the Fusion Design Online GUI and then a import to device of our .hex design file but it takes some time and needs a lot of clicks :)

Hello Clement

Ti Fusion Power Design provides not only graphic interface but also command line tool.

You can run command line tool into a script. the command tool is called FusionConfigWrite.exe which is under INSTALL_FOLDER\bin\.

We always recommend to use data flash hex file to program the device and FusionConfigWrite.exe can take hex file as a input.

Hello Yihe,

I couldn't find in the training portal or the Q&A any information about that utility.

Where can I find documentation about the calling syntax ?

Can I achieve the Clear configuration I currently do from the Tools > Clear configuration menu ?
Note that I currently am doing this without ticking the box so the tools closes and I then reopen it, let it configure a rail.
This is the only method I found reproductible to always program perfectly. When doing it differently I happened to have cases where the programmation was incorrectly applied to the device.

you can type fusionconfigwrite.exe --help to get the syntax.

Yes, you can export a data flash script file from the fusion GUI ,which has the commands how to clear the flash content at the very beginning of the file

Oh by the way, it's FusionConfigWriter.exe and not fusionconfigwrite.exe.
