BQ24725A: Problems with inrush current.

Part Number: BQ24725A

Hello,

The voltage of the adapter is 24V, the Li-ion battery has 3 cells and 10.8V.

We have problems with the inrush current. When we plug in the adapter the ACFET will be turned on, the inrush current is so hight that the adapter voltage drops below the min. voltage and the ACFET will be turned off. This happens every few seconds. To solve this issue we used a inrush current limiter after the BMS. Now we can plug the adapter in and ACFET stays on. When we plugging in the adapter voltage and than the battery it works. When we now  removing the adapter the system will be supplied by battery. But when we now plugging the adapter in again we have the same problem like before. The ACFET turns on and off again. The inrush current is higher tha 2A.

ACDET = 2.5V

REGN = 6V

ACOK = 3.3V

Do you have any suggestions maybe for a Slow-Start or something like that?

If you need more information just let me know.

Thanks!!!!
