UCD90120A: Configuring GPI as Fault Commanding Input

Part Number: UCD90120A

I am currently working with the UCD90120A and have the following questions:

1. Can I configure a GPI to command a fault event? For example, can I toggle an input that will force the processor to store the current clock value to non-volatile memory.

2. Approximately how long will it take to write the information to FLASH memory?

3. How do I update the value of the Run Time Clock?

Thank you.

  • Hello

    Please see my answers below

    1. Yes please enable GPI fault enable, device will record the event when the GPI is changed from asserted to deasserted

2.the fault is stored in the flash. So device have to write new fault along with old faults together, it would take about 80ms to complete . If you want to have a less time, a brownout circuit is required to reduce the time to 5ms.

    3. Please refer ucd90xxx pmbus command reference command section10.8 to update clock
