Hi,

We are planning to use TPS259261 for our project which use ADC12DJ3200.

We were going through the schematic of TPS259261 in ADC12DJ3200 EVAL and found out a MOSFET in series with GND.

What purpose does MOSFET serves in the attached schematic?

    HI Lalit,

    The purpose of the external FET in the GND rail is to block reverse current. In case of reverse polarity being applied, the FET is turned OFF and blocks reverse current. If this feature is not required, you can remove the FET.
