Hi team,

i would like to konw whether LM5164 can be used as charger to charge 12s battery with 1A charge current.

It may need an external Constant current control loop? Thanks.

You will need an external constant current loop to give a regulated current in a charger application.

The LM5117 might be a better choice.

If you search the TI website you should find several solutions for a CC charger.
