Hi,
I found this Simplified lithium-ion (Li+) battery-charger testing in MAXIM site:

Please advise if TI has something similar.

We use a simple way to check our battery charger performance.
For a big power, we use an active load. For example: Kepco load BOP 36-12M (bipolar operational power supply). For small power, please check the figure 3 of this user's guide.http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/sluu438. Also, we can use another power source to simulate a battery. For example: kethley 2400 source meter.
Hi Wang,
I asked for solution that will test the BQ24032 and the peripheral components.
It will have to simulate the battery function.
I can not see that in the answer.
Best regards

Test setup 1 for bq24032 tests:
Kepco load. Do not need any peripheral component. Need some wires, meters and bq24032 evaluation board.
Test setup 2 for bq24032 tests:
please check the figure 3 of this user's guide.http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/sluu438.
Peripheral compoents: R1, R2: 5.6ohm/25W; D1 1N5821; power supply 0~4.5V/2A; R3:0.1ohm/2W.
Also need some wires to build test circuit, meters to measure the voltage and current; a bq24032 evaluation board to test bq24032.
Kepco load and figure3 both can simulate a battery. The bq24032 will set CV,CI, precharger, termination, battery detection.... Kepco load and figure3 setup don't need to do that.
I can give more detail about the bq24032 evaluation here.
If you set kepco load or power supply of figure 3 output at 2V and enable bq24032, the charging current is precharge current.
When increase the kepco load or power supply of figure 3 output over 3V, the charging current is fast charge current.
When increase the kepco load or power supply of figure 3 output at 4.2V, the charging current is taper down....
There are more test items and infomation in the user's guide.
