Hi,
the subject line says it already: Do you have documentation for compliance with EN 62133‐2 and ISO 26262? Is there something like a Safety Manual for the BQ25150? A website or forum search shows no results.

Hello Peter
We have not heard of this certification requirement before. This seems to be a final product certification requirements. The BQ25150 would be a component of a system and the seem to apply to the complete systems not component.
The EN 62133-2 standard will apply to batteries.
ISO 26262 is standard for electrical and electronic systems.
Hello Bill,
thank you for your competent reply! I see the situation just as you do: Certification depends on the complete product, not its components. However, I was tempted to ask because a so-called expert at a CE compliance testing house rubbished my design and said that TI chips have passed such certification and should be used instead. Now, even though this is flattering for TI, your answer confirms what I suspected: My solution (using a ST product - sorry!) is quite comparable to one that would implement a TI product.
Regards,
Peter
