BQ25120A: enabling part while battery is not connected

Hi,

Is there a way to recognize a situation where BQ25120A is enabled but battery is not connected? It seems that if this is done BQ25120A reports "charge done". Is there a register which can be used to confirm there is no battery connected even though part reports "charge done"?

    Juha,

    This is due to the caps on the battery being charged/ re-charged. The best way is to disable the charger through I2C or raise the /CD pin and check for the BUVLO fault. 

    This will indicate that the battery is not present. You could potentially also use the VBMON but reading the BUVLO fault is easier.
