Brand new EVM version bq40z80evm-020. 7 cells attached in a 7S configuration. All cells > 3.8v.
The board wakes up on 'wake' but will not stay awake once the switch is released.
All cells report values as does the gauge. The current measurement reports accurate values if the pack to 7S cell is connected.
The Charge test point measures 7V rel. pack ground, the DSG test point measures the same as the voltage on Cell 7.
I have worked through the entire data memory, and checked the values for the battery are within reasonable ranges.
It seems to me that the chip is not pumping up the voltage to turn on the Fets- hard to know if there is a settings mistake or a partial failure of the chip.
The only problem area that I currently see is with register Occ1 and CUV in Safety alert 0005 (low) . OCC1 appears to cycle and CUV is permanently on . this makes no sense as the protection level is above the cell voltage.
To determine if there is an incorrect setting, could you please send me a gg file for a 7S battery pack?
D3 and R7 have been removed per your tech note.
