BQ34Z100: Question for BQ34Z100

Part Number: BQ34Z100

Hi Team,

Using BQ34Z100 for SOC calculation, how to calculate the accuracy of the sampling circuit

Question 1:

The resistance of the sampling circuit is connected in parallel by two 2 milliohm resistors. How to calculate the accuracy of the sampling circuit? The required accuracy of the BQ34Z100 is 3mv/pack. Can this sampling resistor be 2 milliohms? Does this accuracy meet the requirements?

Question 2:
The accuracy of the impedance tracking method is required to reach 3MV/PACK. What does 3mv/pack mean?

  • 1. Do not use 2 sense resistors in parallel. Even though it's the effective resistance that matters, you don't want inherent non linearities because of splitting the current.

    2. The accuracy of IT depends on your ADC's measurement accuracy. For this IT demands that the voltage measurement be accurate to 3mV per battery pack.
