LM5022: Input and Output Waveform Problems

Part Number: LM5022

Hi TI

Input is 12V, output is 8V/2.2A

1. The first waveform is the output voltage. How to reduce the noise?

Because the output capacitance requirement of the switch used in coal mine can not exceed 100uF to avoid sparks.

2. The second waveform is the input voltage. How to smooth the rise without negative slope?

Thank  you

Jerry

  • Hi Jerry,

Thanks for using the LM5022 in the design. How are you probing the output voltage? A long ground lead can cause noise coupling, which may give inaccurate readings. For your input voltage, it is possible that your power supply may not be strong enough to handle the load presented as the flyback converter. Do you get the same results if you switch the power supply or if you add a big bulk capacitor to the input of the flyback?

    Thanks,

    Richard
