UCC28070: about current limiting point for low Vin and High Vin

Hello E2E,

Our customer is evaluating PFC28070 on their original circuit board. When input AC-90V and AC230V, their OCP points are near. I think that when input AC voltage high, OCP trip point will be high too. Please le me know why OCP points be near when AC-90V and AC230V.

Regards,
ACGUY

  • Hello ACGUY,

The over current protection level is fixed . It is set by a dc voltage on the PKLMT pin.

However the current at 90V input should obviously be less than the input current at 230V.

If you are see an OCP condition then it must mean there is a fault in your power supply.

    Regards

    John
