Dear All,

Please suggest for reducing cell . This application is for 20cells. But i need 15 cells BMS. How to reduce cells refer some design.

Hi Gautham,
I suggest you look at BQ76940, the 15s version of the BQ76930 (same family of monitors).
You will find here several 15s "ready to go" reference days.

Hi David,

I am using bq76940. But i need bq76930 as per my required . So please suggest for reducing cell.

Hi Furkan,

As David noted, for 15 cells a stacked solution is not needed, the BQ76940 can support 15 cells. For a high side switched application see TIDA-00792, for a low side solution see (the EVM) or TIDA-00255. The BQ76940 will give 3 temperature sensors.

If you need a stacked approach like TIDA-01093 which will give 4 temperature sensors, you might use 8 cells on one device and 7 on the other. See the BQ76930 data sheet section 8.1.1 for reducing the cell count.
