Please provide the maximum acceptable percentage solder void for the bottom-side paddle for the TPS7A4701RGWT & TPS7A3001DGNT.

    Hi ,

    The thermal pad is used for improved thermal performance.  As such, the regulators can operate without any thermal pad connection; however, the thermal performance of the regulator will be severely degraded.  The more solder you have to connect the thermal pad to the PCB, the more effective the PCB will act as a heatsink for the regulator.
