BQ25606: PCB drawing problem

Part Number: BQ25606
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61169,

Dear all:

I designed a product with BQ25606 and TPS61169, please refer to the attachment for details. Please help to check whether the PCB drawing is reasonable and whether there is any other suggestion

  • Hi,

I reviewed the BQ25606 portion of your schematic and layout files. They look fine overall, but here are my comments.

    Regarding your schematic:

R17 = 10 kΩ is included in your schematic, but not in your PCB layout.

Do you ever plan to use OTG? If so, you will need a way to pull the OTG pin high.

    Regarding your PCB layout:

Please take a look at the layout guidelines in Section 11 of the datasheet, especially guidelines 2 and 4. The area of the copper trace from SW to the input pin of the inductor can be reduced, and it looks like you're using a single GND instead of separating this into an analog GND and a power GND. Adhering to the datasheet guidelines more closely could allow for better EMI performance and less noise. If these considerations are critical in your application, then I would recommend making the layout modifications recommended in Section 11.

    Best regards,

    Angelo
