Hi,

We are planning to use TPS61175 for an output of 12V/ 1A from 5V input.

We have to test our system for EMI/EMC.

Please let me know Is there any additional components that we have to take care of EMI.?

What and all things has to taken care in design for EMI concern?

Why do you select TPS61175? the TPS61089 is much better solution for this application.

Hi Jasper,

Our maximum current requirement at 12V will be less than 1A.

So we have selected regulator with less switching current.

Is there any advantage if we use TPS61089 in case of EMI?

Hi Shafeeq,

If you choose TPS61089:

1. the eff. will be >4% higher than that of the TPS61175.

2. The price of TPS61089 is similar to or even cheaper than TPS61175. And as it is an integrated boost converter, so no extra diode is needed.

3. The layout is more compact than TPS61175, hence the EMI will be better.
