TPS63061: max sink current of TPS63061

Dear,

I want to build a DC/DC convertor to convert 12V into variable voltage, where the convertor must drive at least 1A at ~10V output, and sink 1A at ~2V output.

Is the TPS63061 a good candidate for such an application?

    Hi Robock:

    I'll recommend TPS63070 as it's more suitable for 12 V input voltage. But unfortunately, neither of them could supply 10V Vout,

    What's your application? Why request for 10V output voltage?And the 2V sink output is for "VIN" pin or "VOUT" pin?

    We want to build a bidirectional current source to drive a Peltier element. There is 12V and 6V in the system. A DC/DC convertor that generates 2V to 10V could do the job (generating -4V to +4V voltage drop over the Peltier).

    If the output voltage (and output current) of the DC/DC convertor is limited, then its better to use a H-bridge?

    Sorry for keep you waiting. I was out of office these days.

    I'm not familiar with Peltier. Is it OK if change the resistance of the Peltier? Will it have same performance between ±3V / 1.33A and  ±4V / 1A? If it could work, You could see TPS63070. Or you may need to choose other solutions, like H-bridge.
