Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2372

Hello:

If PSE supports PoH 90W, does PD need to use the PD architecture of daul signature (use 2 tps2372-4) to reach the power supply of PoH 90W.

  • Greetings Leon.  A couple questions for you:

    1. When you mention 90W, is that at the source...or at the input to the load?
    2. Do you care about being compliant to the IEEE 802.3bt standard and/or being able to secure and promote the PoE logo (is interoperability a concern)?

Right away, I would suggest watching the following videos.  The first two are about the logo program (in English and Mandarin) and the second is entitled "TPS2372/3 working with noncompliant high power PSEs (UPoE,PoE++ and PoH)."

Once you have reviewed these videos, please reply and clarify what the design goal is and list out any remaining questions.

Thank you for your interest in PoE products from Texas Instruments,

  • Hi Leon,
