TLV431A-Q1: stability question

Part Number: TLV431A-Q1

Hi Experts,

I would like to use Figure 35 of datasheet. Then I would like to know whether there are any limitation of capacitor value for Vi(bat) and Vo. Should I refer to figure 12&13 for stability concern? Do you have a graph of stability boundary condition for figure 35?

Your support would be much appreciated.
Best Regards,
Fujiwara

  • Fujiwara-san,

Can you clarify what you mean by Figure 35? There is no such figure in the datasheet for the TLV431A-Q1 on ti.com.

    Thanks,
    Abhinav.

  • Abhinaxさん、

    すみません、デバイス名を間違えました。正しいのは「TL431A-Q1」です。図35は下にあります。

  • Abhinav-san,

    Sorry, I posted in Japanese.

I have mistaken a device name, correct one is "TL431A-Q1". The Figure 35 is below. I would like to use Figure 35 of datasheet. Then I would like to know whether there are any limitation of capacitor value for Vi(bat) and Vo. Should I refer to figure 12&13 for stability concern? Do you have a graph of stability boundary condition for figure 35?

  • Fujiwara-san,

While we don't have a graph for the stability boundary condition for the circuit in Figure 35, we have a note in section 8.3 of the datasheet that points you to Figure 24 to use as a guide to help selecting an output capacitor as you can see the detailed schematic. In addition, you should be able to refer to Figure 12/13 to analyze stability boundary conditions for load capacitance vs cathode current.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Thanks,
    Abhinav.
