LM5170-Q1 Multiphase Bidirectional Current Controller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5170-Q1, LM5170

Hello TI  Engineer,

Recently ,  I designed a  4 Phase SR buck converter using LM5170-Q1,but there may be noise effects on pcb loop,

I think the Diode Emulation function cause bottom switch (SR) to close early , because it detected  to cross zero ,

May i turn this function off  through hardware?  Thanks!

Ch1 to Ch4 are Vgs Signal , where C2 and C3 to close early ,

  • Hi Ben,

Thank you for using the LM5170.  You cannot turn off the diode emulation.  It is specially designed that way to prevent negative current under all operating conditions.  Please refer to the datasheet Section 9.1.3 to compensate the effects of the current sense signal.

    Thanks,
