TPS563201: Very high output ripple of 174mV @ 5V and 122mV @ 3,3V

Part Number: TPS563201

Hello,

i´ve designed an voltage source for a university project and used two (2x TPS563201) of your step-down converters to regulate 12V to 3,3V and 5V with both require an output current of 250mA. One requirement of the project is to have an output voltage ripple of <1%, which means max. 50mV ripple @ 5V and max. 33mV @ 3,3V.

Now that the finished board is here, i´ve measured the ripple and it's higher than i would've expected (i attached two pictures of the measurement). I measured directly at the two output pins of the board.

Is there a way to check my Eagle files and tell me if i did something wrong?

I know it's probably too late to change something but i would like to know the reason why my output ripple is that high. If i need to guess i would say it's because of the inductors i used. It was the only THT part on the board because the vendor didnt had inductors in SMD with the inductance i needed for the dc/dc converters. To show you how big these inductors are i attached a picture of the board.

Thanks,

Pascal
