BQ28Z610EVM-532: Configure for a single cell

Hello,

Apart from shorting 2p-1p terminals on the battery side to support a 1-cell operation, is there any changes to be made in the BQstudio to support this?.

when i connect a battery pack the bqstudio shows 0% @ 3.6V.

Also, when i press the switch S1, the gauge is momentarily connected to the EV2400 but soon after disconnects. chg fet drive is at 1.8V (1/2 of cell voltage) and dsg fet is at 0v.

there is no power supply or load connected to the pack terminals.

dont know what i am doing wrong......

You need to set the settings: DA configuration: CC0 bit to 0.

I am using the gauge with the BQ24105 EVM charger. I modified the DA to 00 and now it can identify it as a single cell. The charger starts to charge the cell through the gauge correctly but when the end of charge happens, the charge current goes down to zero but the charging LED (STAT1) on the charger stays ON. on another setup the STAT1 LED keeps blinking indicating fault.

both the CHG and DSG FET's on the gauge are ON when this happens. once i reset the gauge using the EV2400, the charger shows correct end of charge indication (STAT2 LED on).

any insight?
