BQ24250: Battery MPN recommendation

one of my customer is experimenting with the BQ2450 eval board we have provided to them.

 

Meanwhile, they just wanted to know if there are any battery MPNs which are tested/ qualified by TI for use with this battery gas gauge IC with little or no design cycle for this and minimum calibration?

 

They are looking for Lithium Polymer battery with 500 to 800 mAh capacity + an integrated thermistor.

 

Any inputs on this will be helpful.

    Hi Saurabh,

    BQ24250 is a battery charger not a gauge.  There is a gauge that was designed to be control the BQ24250 through I2C, BQ27532.  This gauge would eliminate the need for writing host software for the charger.  Unfortunately, TI charger team does not qualify batteries to be used with specific chargers.
