Hello,

I am looking for a Buck-Boost / Boost Converter for my GPS based Tracking Application.

Tracker Device 1 Requirement

Vin: 1.2V ~ 3V

Vout: 3.3V

Iout: 300mA~400mA [my Device Consumption is 250mA]

IQ: I need the lowest one

Tracker Device 2 Requirement

Vin: 1.8V ~ 3.6V

Vout: 3.3V

Iout: 300mA~400mA [my Device Consumption is 250mA]

IQ: I need the lowest one

Kindly suggest me the suitable nano Power Buck-Boot / Boost Converter device.

Hi Rahul:

I'll recommend the TPS63802 for you. http://www.ti.com/product/TPS63802

It could support Vin from 1.3 V to 5.5 V (>1.8 V for Device Start-up). The Iq is only 11uA typically. And the current capability seems enough according to the Fig14 in datasheet.

You could apply for an EVM to easy start debugging and the test.

Hi Rahul:

TPS63802 status is sample available. And it will release standard part to market soon. So don't worry about that.

Hi Rahul:

I have check the schematic, There is no more obvious improper design except the PG pin. Do you need the Power Good Indicator function? Just leave the PG pin unconnected when not used.

And additionally, please keep follow the Layout Guidance.

Hi Minqiu,

Thanks for your advice. Yes. I shall float the PG PIN when not in use. Currently i am not going to use the PG pin.
