HI 

We’re planning to us the bq40z50-R2 Li-Ion Battery Pack Manager and the bq24250 Li-Ion Battery Charger. Can you please help me with the following questions.

 

  1. If we don’t use the PRES pin of the bq40z50-R2 is it possible to issue a software command in our system to put the pack into SHUTDOWN mode?
  2. If the battery pack is in SHUTDOWN mode can the bq24250 wake up the pack by applying a voltage greater than the bq40z50-R2 Charger Present Threshold?
