BQ34Z100-G1: My BQ34Z100-G1 has a non linear state of charge discharging curve.

Hi TI Team,

I am currently using your BQ34Z100-G1 with a 12.8V 3Ah 4S2P 18650 battery pack and I have massive issues to configure your chip.

I went several times through your entire step by step procedure to configure and calibrate the chip and here is my state of charge discharging curve:

I discharged around 430mA constant and as you can see, the curve is not linear at all.

What could be the route-cause of this issue please?

Once you have calibrated the gauge and set the appropriate settings for a 4s config, please perform a chem ID match first on your cell. Once this is done, program the chem ID and update your gauging parameters (design capacity etc). Then you need to complete a learning cycle on the gauge. After that your capacity will be accurately esimated by the gauge.

Well, I just said that I already went to this process several times and I still get this this result so do you have something else in mind?

Hi Alexandre,

We will need your srec, gg files and your log for the cycle to debug this for you. Please mention the type of cell you are using as well as the chem ID. We will have our fw engineers look into this after they return from vacation on Jul 11.
