TPS55340: In LED drive application.

Hi,

I want to use TPS55340 to drive the backlight module.

Vin=12V and Vo= 27V.

I want to use EN PIN for dimming. I don't know if it's feasible.

Or is there any way to achieve the function of LED dimming?

Hi Helen,

Dimming Control signal frequency 26k up, Dimming range 0% - 90%

26K dimming frequency is very high. for the EN pin, the dimming frequency should be below 1k, 200HZ is better.

You should use an external FET in series with the LED to realize the function.

Like the below picture. Or you can refer to TI design PMP15037.
