BQ28Z610: BQSTUDIO with bq28z610

Part Number: BQ28Z610
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, EV2400

Hello

I connected bq28z610 costume design board with BQSTUDIO, we have connected 2S2P battery pack. what parameter do i need to configure to make battery cycle (charging/ discharging) work properly
I gone through bq28z610 TRM but do i need to set all parameter one by one?!? which parameter represent the  max & min voltage and current.

  • Jigar,

Please read  this gives you the information you need.

  • Hi Batt

IF i have proper chemistry ID and i set required parameter then do i need to run this test on each and every BQ28Z610 IC??
if yest then that is not practical use for the product devices. Please suggest some solution to get done over each process

    Thanks

    Jigar

  • Hi Jigar,

You only need to run it on one battery pack before using the learned parameters from that pack for production. It's not needed to run on all packs. Our advice is to run it on at least 5 packs to get an average and verify your results that way.

  • Hi Batt

Currently I am purchasing battery from other vendor SAMSUNG, And they provide me Chemistry id and all required parameter.
But when i connect that battery with @EV2400 and @BQSTUDIO I am not able to see proper battery parameter.

Why you always answering  my question with same document?

try to understand my question and then reply. It is taking to long to get fuel gauge parameter from this BQ28Z610.

When battery reaches to 100 % it is not cumming out of it and providing me same battery health status. ans same thing happens when battery reaches to 0%.
why it is working only for once cycle??

Hopefully you will reply with proper solution not with same document.

    Thanks

  • The chem ID and all it's parameters are TI proprietary. We don't reveal them. To read the chem ID, you can send command 0x0006 to manufactureraccess.

The document I referred to is the definitive learning document. Please be specific in what issue your seeing with logs, srec and gg file and we will be able to help you.
