BQ28Z610: Leakage current of VC1 and VC2

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Hi team,

Customer has two questions about leakage current of VC1 and VC2, thanks.

1)  If the voltage of the battery is 3.85V*2 cells battery, what are the leakage currents of VC2 and VC1 respectively?

2) If the BQ28Z610 is shutdown and the voltage of cells are  1.8V*2 series, what are the leakage currents of VC2 and VC1 ?

  • Hi Jeff,

The leakage is not characterized. However, it will be minimal as it's internal to the IC unless a bypass is turned on because of cell balancing. In shutdown the entire device is turned off, so the total device leakage is 2uA max with 0.5uA being typical.
