Can DELAY pin of TPS1H200A-Q1 be left floating if additional delay is not required?

If not, what is the minimum value of capacitor recommended on this pin?

Hello,

This depends on the delay that you would want?

What you can do is pull the pin up as defined in section 7.3.2.3 and it will clamp for a short amount of time (thic+ tcldeg) and then shut off and try again.

Hello Cameron,

My customer doesn't want retry option.

They want to latch the fault with minimum delay. so can the pin be left floating or use very small cap like 100pF here?

Mahendra,

The minimum delay will be between 380us (tclmin+tdl1min) and 700us (tclmax+tdl1max)

Having a 100pF cap will give you an extra delay of ~32us. Is this range acceptable?
