TPS659037: LDO input Power

Hi,

Even if a power supply different from the 5V supplied to VSYS (VCC1) is input to LDO 34_IN, LDO 9_IN, and LDOLN_IN of PMIC (TPS6590379) (for example, a 2.5V power supply generated by a power IC different from PMIC), Is there not a problem?
We are considering a configuration to reduce loss and heat generation by LDO.

Hi Shigehiro Tsuda,

The LDO input pins can use a different supply other than the 5V VCC1 no problem as long as it is within the recommended values in Table 4.6 of the datasheet http://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/tps659037 . Using a 2.5V power supply generated by a different PMIC should be fine. A supply smaller than 3.6V should not be used for LDOUSB_IN1 and a supply smaller than 4.3V should not be used for LDOUSB_IN2.
