TPS51116-EP: Is this part suitable as a complete DDR4 power solution?

Part Number: TPS51116-EP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS51116, TPS65295, TPS51200-EP

Hi all,

Looking for power solutions for DDR4 -- TPS65295 seems very good, but I'm keen on the TPS51116 because it's hi-rel and mil temp range.

When sorting by DDR4 power solutions, it shows up, though based on datasheet and its actual page, no DDR4 is mentioned. It does seem like it can be configured to be used for DDR4, but wanted to get some other folks' input on whether I'm right in saying that, and even then, if it's the right approach versus choosing an alternative solution for DDR4 power.

Primary goal here is high reliability and high temp range.

  • Hey Kirill,

Despite the fact it is not mentioned specifically in the datasheet, the part should be configurable to DDR4.

VDDQSNS was tested looking at the electrical characteristics at 1.2 Volts.

If you want another -EP option TPS51200-EP would also be another option.

    Thanks,

    Daniel
