TPS7B63-Q1: watchdog WDO function

Dear expert,

My customer is asking which pin in MCU or Core ship should WDO pin be connected to and how does it work. Since WDO signal is used to reset the MCU when software runs away. But if MCU software runs away, how can it detect that WDO signal is low? Thanks.

    Hi Binbin,

    The output of a watchdog is generally connected to an enable or reset function in the specific application.  As such, when a MCU were to have its "software run away" the MCU would be disabled and then re-enabled.  You will need to read the datasheet of your application's MCU to determine how best to do this.
