BQ34Z100-G1: bq34z100-G1 current calibration issue with Battery Management Studio 1.3.86

Hi everybody.

I have installed new 1.3.86 version of Battery Management Studio.

When I set 2A on electronic load to perform bq34z100-G1 current calibration a current the program use for calibration  is an average current and not an instant current.

I should wait quite a long time until average current become equal to instant current to perform current calibration.

When I perform the same thing with bq40z50-R1 the Battery Management Studio 1.3.86 use instant current for calibration and I make calibration within few second.

I have tried but haven't found any configuration for calibrating by instant current during calibration instead of calibrating by average current for bq34z100-G1.

Now I am using Battery Management Studio 1.3.52 for current calibration. The problem is the old version can't be updated to new chemistry updates.

Maybe anybody knows how to use Battery Management Studio 1.3.86 with calibration to instant current for bq34z100-G1???

    Hi Maxim,

    The bq34z100 is based on an older code and core that uses average current. It's a low pass filtered value with a time of 14s in the registers. The bq40z50-r1 is newer and uses instantaneous current. However, the calibration is not based on reported values but actual counts from the adc. So, it should work as instantaneous value.
