WEBENCH® Tools/TPS53641: TPS53641

Chasel,

I would like to have your input on following general question regarding TPS53641. You input is very important to me.

In our current design aroung Xeon processor (Broadwell), we are using 3 of TPS53641, these controllers are used for 1.05V, 1.2V, and 1.8V voltages required of Processor.

We need to do voltage margining (+/- 5% of nominal voltage) of board. My understanding is for voltage regulators reporting to these three controllers we don't need to

do +/- 5% voltage margining as they are already very tight, and the controller doesn't allow to VR to be drifting away from nominal values of 1.05V, 1.2V, and 1.8V. What I have

seen in the these boards I worked with,  is that the voltages are very solid, and very very close to VOUT_COMMAND. As a result there is no need for voltage margining. what do you

think? If voltage margining is recommended how is it done in TPS53641.
