TPS23880: 8-port POE switch issue

The two TPS23880 devices will be individually addressed and managed by a host microcontroller. The device I2C addresses are set using pins A1-A4 and must be unique in a multi-device system. Section 9.2 of the TPS23880 datasheet has more information on design considerations; Figure 118 shows how each device should be connected to the I2C host. More about I2C communication can be found in Section 8.5.

For your multi-device system I would suggest looking over the FIRMPSEEVM-BDL package. This system is capable of supporting up to 48 ports and uses a total of 6 TPS23881 devices. The TPS23881 is a very similar device to TPS23880 but it also has autonomous capability and uses a smaller 200 mOhm Rsense.
