We will need these to be available as a data bus for programming and debug purposes! So if they are tied, they have to be tied in such a way as the tie can be removed. Honestly though I think tying them together is not necessary, as long as one pin is just tied to low, the other can be tied to the button and will still allow toggling of the bus low state if we want to use that, or if we are doing software polling it won’t even matter which pin.
