Dear all:
I have a question about BQ24610 .
1. How to set 3 or 4 strings of lithium batteries?
2. What does DPM do?
3. If I use an input voltage of 42-48v as the adapter, do I need a voltage buck?

Hi Timsen,
1. Set the charge regulation voltage to the max charge voltage of the 3 or 4 cell Li-ion batteries. You can find the specific max charge voltage from the battery manufacturer's datasheet.
2. DPM stands for dynamic power management, and BQ24610 employs Input current DPM meaning that it monitors input current (from adapter or input power supply) through the sense resistor between ACP and ACN, and will reduce charge current if input current limit (set by ACSET voltage) is hit. This prioritizes system load over battery in power-path applications. This is also described in a little more detail in the datasheet.
3. Yes, as BQ24610 max recommended input operating voltage is 28V.
