Hello Sir/Mam,

We have query regrading battery charging ic BQ24045DSQT) Kindly below points.

1) Can we operate custom device without battery detection using BQ24045 Charging ic ?

2) Over- voltage Charge voltage our device is in hang condition.

Explain scenario, We charged our device overnight at standby mode and will no longer power up then after facing charging and locking up issue. at that time we observed at battery voltage 4.3V our device is in hang condition. one more thing we observed glitching battery mounting and unmounte condition

Kindly explain why battery charging ic lock up device at over voltage,overnight charging condition.

    Thanks for posting your question to the forum.

    "1) Can we operate custom device without battery detection using BQ24045 Charging ic ?" --- Bill J - We do not have a custom device without battery detection. 

    "2) Over- voltage Charge voltage our device is in hang condition." -- Bill J - Can you provide more information on this test and the results.  Note that the BQ24045 will charge the battery to 4.35V, so 4.3V on the battery is expected.  The BQ24040 is a similar device that will charge battery to 4.2V.
