TWL6040A3SRSZQZ is already EOL, but TI suggest TWL6040A3ZQZR which is NRND

I check with datasheet, there is no difference between TWL6040A3ZQZR and TWL6040A3SRSZQZ except package quantity.
What’s the difference?
Does TWL6040A3ZQZR have shortage or long LT concern?

Or TI have others similar function can provide to us?

Hello,

Unfortunately it is not clear the difference between the two. I found some information which suggests SRS version received some additional external audio testing certification but no clear details. Do you have details on why SRS version was being used? It is generally more expensive than non-SRS.

TWL6040A3ZQZR is NRND because support for new designs is limited. It is included as part of the Microstar BGA EOL plan but is expected to be converted to the new nFBGA package. In the meantime, it is not EOL.
