Hi Team,

LM5176 EVM test problem.
1. Vin12~13V to 12Vout will have high gate blanching, current about 5A.

2. Vin under 11V measures Q5 as shown in the figure. high-gate does not switch on . At this moment, Q5 will heat up and the voltage will flow from the body diode.

3. Vin 13 above measurement Q5 is shown as high-gate switch on.

Is this blanching normal phenomenon? How to improve? thanks

Hi Kevin,

First, thank you for considering the LM5176. We checked on our EVM here and the Q5 is turning on at Vin=11V. Something is wrong on your board. You may consider to change the IC and redo the test.
