TPS62825: PG pin connection

Part Number: TPS62825

Dear *,

we have 4 TPS62825DMQ on our PCB to supply four different voltages 3V3, 1V8, 1V2, 1V1.

Vin is 5V.

Can we connect all PG pins together and pull it up to Vin 5V, and then connect to mos-fet that will drive the power good LED?

What should be the size of pull-up resistor if all four PG connected together?

Best Regards,

D.

  • Hello,

please have a look into the D/S at page 5 (electrical characteristics) Vpg,ol and Ipg,lkg. From these parameters, you can evaluate the equivalent resistor of the PG Mos (D/S give voltage and current) in high impedance and low impedance status. You can connect the devices to 5V rail with a pull-up resistor; a 100k should be fine. To be sure you can try the different scenario for the 4 devices (high/low impedance) considering the PG equivalent mos resistance (Vpg,ol and Ipg,lkg) in parallel and evaluating the voltage at the gate of the nmos (connected to the led).
