What load is being applied to SYS to cause it to dip as shown in the scope capture? If the device goes into supplement mode, the SYS voltage will be equivalent to the battery voltage. It's is possible that the input can't support the load.

Our system takes about 150mA from VSYS.

What we want to do is switching from from 500mA input current to 1500mA input current.  

When we try this, the battery could be dead, therefore causing system reset.

The original question is about the input current.  When we transition EN1 and EN2 form 10 to 01, does the system randomly passes through 00 or 11?

Is there work around we can do to go from 500mA to 1500mA without needing the battery supplement?

This will depend on how your firmware implements the change. Is it possible to just have the input current limit set to 1500mA or increase the OUT capacitance?
