TPS56221: TPS56221 and LM10010 Power supply question?

Part Number: TPS56221
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM10011,

Dear support member.

My customer used TPS56221 and LM10011.

I have a question.

(Question1)
In the combination of TPS56221 and LM10011,
Is the TPS56221 VIN and the LM10011 VDD another power supply?

Because
The power supply is shared in the circuit diagrams described in the data sheet etc, there are many cases, I would like to confirm just in case.

(Question2)
If in the case of another power supply,
Is there an oreder of rise sequence?

Best regard.
Bob Lee.

  • Bob,

The voltages for TPS56221 and LM10011 may be the same or different depending on the available voltage rails.  TPS56221 can operate from a supply of 4.5 V to 14 V while the supply of LM10011 can be from 2.97 V to 5.5 V.  So practically, they can only use the same supply if it is in the range of 4.5 to 5.5 V, i.e. a 5 V input.

For sequencing, I don't think it really matters, but I would bring up TPS56221 first, then LM10011.

  • Dear JohnTucker,

Thank you very much for your answer.

    Best regard.
