We are considering -17V output from -24V input.

Input : -24V

Output :-17V/100mA

PMP9624 seems to be good reference for our design.

I think minor change should be worked.

Is it possible to use TPS61170 with PMP9624?

Please tell me advice if you have.

Yes, it can accept -24V as the input and the -17V as the output.

Thank you for your reply.

My latest question comes up because I thought the device should have abs(-24) = 24V as maximum input.

TPS61170 can accept 18V as maximum input. So, I thought TPS61170 might not match our design requirement possibly.

Do you have materials that explains for negative to negative converter in?

Yes, its Vin pin and CTRL pin voltage should be less than 20V abs max. so they need to add a zener or a linear regulator to limit the voltage add to the Vin pin.
