BQ27742-G1: CONFIG UPDATE Mode

Hi,

Good evening.

Thanks for support for the last query.

Later, we have developed the I2C interface code between s124 MCU to BQ27742.

Now we can able read the Device id, firmware ID, temperature, current, voltage etc.

Now we need configure device with new design capacity, etc.

For that, we are planning refer the BQ27741 sample code and make similar changes for BQ27742 device.

In BQ27741 device, SET_CFGUPDATE subcommand, Control(0x0013) to enter CONFIG UPDATE Mode.

In BQ27742, device the above command is missing and CONFIG UPDATE Mode is also missing.

so, kindly provide the device.

    Hi Umesh

    The bq27742 is a flash based gauge and the process for configuring and  updating the data memory is a different process,

    you will need to program your chem id, configure the gauge for your application, run a learning cycle and then extract a golden srec or flash stream file which will be used for mass production.

    An app note to guide you through the process is below: though written for a different gauge, most of the info contained there is applicable to this.
