How Can i design Solar powered AA battery charger and Battery level monitor with Tiva C

I suggest you start by identifying the type of battery chemistry and the number of batteries in series. Enter those values into this table to see what battery charger ICs are available: (Selecting I2C control is a good option for interfacing with the TivaC devices.)

i was go-through the above reference design but i have a some doubts

1. solar input volt is 5v to 28v  if there is can i connect 5v or 12v adapter instead of solar.(if some client think to solar cost is too high compared with adapter).

2. if the above question is not possible, what can i do for connect solar or dc adapter for inputs, i want to design power supply for solar and dc adapter that design support both inputs solar or dc input.

3. the reference design have a four output terminal like 

1. VSYS(input voltage)

2. VOUT(output)

how/where can i connect the battery pack for charging?, i think the battery must connect to VBAT Label before the voltage divider at PH pin. where can i connect my controller input pins for get power from battery. can i connect controller inputs pins directly to the battery terminal or not.

can you suggest the battery pack for this circuit else kindly attach the link for a battery.

it gives analog voltage for battery temperature measurement or what, where is thermistor placed for monitor the battery temperature.
