BQ25886: DCP mode

Hi Sir 

We have project use power jack 5Vin/3A to do 2cell boost charge ,So this project doesn't have USB D+/D-

1. If I fix the voltage 2.8V on D+/D- ,BQ25886 can fix the input current to 2.4A ,is it correct ?

2. if I would like to do input current limit to 3A ,how could I config D+/D-?

    Kai,

    You are correct. Fixing D+/D- to 2.8 V will set the input current limit to 2.4 A.

    If you want to set the input current to 3 A, you must short the D+ and D- pin together to put the device into the DCP mode shown in Figure 13 in the datasheet.
