DCP020515D: minimum load

Part Number: DCP020515D

Dear,

- Is it necessary a minimum load in ref. DCP020515DU to have a good regulation?, what is ?

- Can I use only one output (+Vout ) and -Vout is open circuit?

Thank you in advance

  • Hi Fernando,

10% pre-loading is required to meet load regulation for the DCP02X devices. As such it is recommended to have at least 10% load to ensure output voltage is not too high.

Please reference to this post which asks a similar question and Jason's reply to the E2E poster.

  • Hi Fernando,

    1. Yes, we recommend placing a minimum 10% load to ensure the output voltage is within the range specified in Electrical Characteristics table. Operations below 10% load can cause the output voltage to increase.
    2. Yes, leaving -Vout open circuit should be okay. I would like to add, if you will not be using -Vout, then the single output device DCP020515U would be a better option.
